Missoula's Choice For Guided Fly Fishing Trips
Missoula Fly Water guides turn the rivers of Missoula, Montana into your personal fly fishing paradise. Founded by Scott Stanko, a lifelong fly fishing enthusiast, Missoula Fly Water is built on a dedication to the sport and a passion for sharing it with others.
With over 30 years of fly fishing experience, Scott has explored waters from Pennsylvania to Montana, learning from some of the legends of the sport along the way. His dedication to the craft is not just a profession; it's a way of life.
Scott Stanko - Missoula Fly Water Owner and Outfitter

Scott’s journey into the world of fly fishing began on a backyard trout stream in rural Pennsylvania at the age of eight, where he learned the nuances of fly fishing. Inspired by fly fishing trips to Montana with his parents, Scott was captivated by the beauty and challenge of fly fishing in the West. After moving to Idaho for an M.S. in Recreation Management, he eventually found his way back to Montana, making Missoula his home.
Here, Scott discovered not only a vibrant fly fishing community but also a wealth of incredible rivers teeming with trout. For the past 10 years, Scott has been guiding anglers through the waters of Missoula, sharing his expertise and love for the sport with each and every client. Scott is also a licensed Captain and guides the fall season in Southern Louisiana for big bull red fish.
